GEORGE E. REGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The George E. Reger Memorial Scholarship is a fund established by the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association in 1991 and provides funds to persons who have chosen to enter the funeral profession.

Since its beginning the scholarship has awarded 15 scholarships of $1,000.00 each.

Please contribute to the scholarship fund. All donations are tax deductible. Contributions may be made to the scholarship at the below address:

The application process is as follows:
• Request application from association office
• Submit no later than March 30 of the calendar year.
• Must be a WV resident.
• Must complete first quarter of an accredited mortuary school.
• Financial need must be demonstrated.
• Give evidence of academic performance.
• List extracurricular and or community involvement.
• Include a letter of recommendation from a member of the funeral profession.
